O’Connor Charter – A Week Guided by Rain & Calm Seas

There’s something special about starting a charter with a little blessing from above—and this week, it came in the form of soft Caribbean rain. As the O’Connor group stepped onboard, the mood was instantly set: calm, peaceful, and ready for a week of slow living and ocean therapy.
We set off toward Norman Island for our first night, welcomed by gentle rain tapping on the deck. No music, no noise—just the soothing sound of rainfall and the ocean breathing around us. It didn’t take long before the crew slipped into the water, embracing the moment with a quiet snorkel in the warm sea.
The next morning kicked off with a beautiful first dive at Pelican Island, where Tim and John wasted no time getting below the surface. From there, we cruised over to Salt Island for a full day of exploring—snorkelling vibrant reefs, stretching legs on a scenic hike, and enjoying some seriously good food onboard.
This charter quickly found its rhythm: slow mornings, active afternoons, and those perfect midday naps that only happen out here. It was one of those weeks where time just seemed to drift.
Next stop was Virgin Gorda, where the group enjoyed two incredible dives—Ginger’s Backside and the legendary Kodiak Queen wreck. Both dives delivered unforgettable underwater moments and plenty of stories for the surface.
That evening, we pulled into Spanish Town, and the guests headed ashore for dinner at CocoMaya—a perfect blend of beachside elegance and island flavor.
The following day brought us to Great Dog for more diving and snorkelling before heading to Bight’s Ground for a peaceful overnight stay. Patricia and Mike jumped in for another snorkel session, while the rest leaned into the charter’s theme—relaxation and well-earned naps.
We continued the journey to Brewers Bay, squeezing in another dive while others snorkelled alongside Mike—or stayed onboard, happily diving into the snack stash. That night, the rain returned, once again wrapping the boat in that calm, cozy atmosphere everyone had come to love.
On the final stretch, we made our way to West End to refill tanks for one last dive at The Cathedral off Jost Van Dyke—a newer site that definitely delivered.
To close off the week, we anchored in Great Harbour, where the guests enjoyed a final dinner at Foxy’s Bar. They returned to the boat in full celebration mode—laughing, dancing, and soaking up every last moment of an unforgettable trip.
A week of rain, reefs, rest, and real connection—O’Connor Charter, you were something special.
