Our unforgettable week with the Genter Family began anchored off the iconic Norman Island, where the excitement kicked in from the very first moment. One seamless step off their private water taxi turned into fins-on, masks-ready, and straight into the famous Norman caves for a vibrant snorkeling adventure — the perfect way to kick off an epic BVI charter.

As the sun dipped low, the BVI showed off in full color, treating our guests to a golden Caribbean sunset before they headed to the legendary Willy-T for a well-deserved welcome drink. Back onboard, our chef set the tone for the week with an incredible steak dinner… only to be topped by an A-m-a-z-i-n-g 50th birthday cake that left everyone speechless.

The next morning started strong — wetsuits over pajamas, fins before breakfast — with a scuba refresher in the warm turquoise waters, followed by another adventure led by our captain.

The Baths were next on the agenda, where our guests embraced “board meetings” BVI-style: floating in the crystal-clear waters off Virgin Gorda, sipping chilled bubbles with smiles as bright as the sun overhead. The following day, the ladies treated themselves to rejuvenating massages on Scrub Island while the boys headed out for another scuba mission… then swapped tanks for eFoils. And let’s just say: these “old guys” absolutely stole the show. Gnarly moves, big laughs, and a few classic show-off moments had the whole crew cheering them on.

From there, we sailed through the island passages and dropped anchor at Brewers Bay — a slice of paradise perfect for a dreamy afternoon. Our beach setup invited hours of floating, sipping cocktails, spinning around on seabobs, and enjoying a gorgeous sushi platter as the Caribbean sun melted into the horizon.

Back onboard and freshly showered, our guests sat down to a beautiful Italian dinner of handmade pasta, clams, and shrimp — the kind of comfort that wraps up a perfect day at sea. And waking up the next morning to the lively shores of Jost Van Dyke meant one thing: Soggy Dollar time. Painkillers, beach burgers, sun-soaked floating, and a competitive round (or three) of cornhole made for an unforgettable final full day. Their last evening onboard was marked by a Greek feast — succulent lamb, bright salads, and of course, our chef’s signature rooibos & honey dessert, a favorite that always wins hearts. Departure mornings are always bittersweet, but laughter, retold stories, and talk of “next time” made the farewell a happy one. The Genter Family left with one more beautiful memory stitched together — and we have no doubt they’ll be back to build on it again soon.
