Some charters are about diving deep beneath the surface. Others are about diving headfirst into the vibrant island rhythm of the British Virgin Islands.
This one? Pure Caribbean energy.
We welcomed six guests aboard Lyra, our beautiful luxury catamaran, in West End. Bags stowed, welcome drinks poured, and that unmistakable vacation glow already setting in. From there, we set sail toward Trellis Bay to pick up the remaining four guests, officially turning this into a full crew of ten ready to experience the BVI the right way. With everyone onboard, we cruised to Marina Cay for our first evening together. The water was calm, the sunset unreal, and the tone for the week was set — effortless luxury mixed with island adventure.
Saba Rock & Bitter End Beginnings
The next morning, we sailed north to Saba Rock — a perfect first taste of that iconic North Sound atmosphere. After soaking in the vibe, we fired up the tender and “booze cruised” over to Bitter End, letting the guests experience that classic BVI bar-to-bar freedom that makes this place so special. There’s something about hopping between legendary island spots by boat that just feels different. No traffic. No rush. Just turquoise water and good times.
Anegada: The Ultimate Bar-Hop Day
From there, we made our way to Anegada — flat, wild, and beautifully untamed. The guests went ashore for a full bar-hopping day, bouncing between sandy-floor beach bars, icy cocktails in hand, laughter echoing across the shoreline. Meanwhile, back on Lyra, preparations were underway. That evening, everyone returned sun-kissed and smiling to an incredible dinner onboard. Chef Arno delivered once again — fresh flavors, beautifully plated, and exactly what was needed after a full day of island exploration.
Jost Van Dyke & The Soggy Dollar Scene
The following morning, we sailed to Jost Van Dyke and dropped anchor near the legendary Soggy Dollar. The group spent the entire day soaking in that iconic White Bay energy — Painkillers flowing, music playing, feet in the sand, nowhere else to be. Later, we repositioned to Diamond Cay for a quieter evening under the stars — the perfect contrast to the daytime buzz.
A Birthday Beach Surprise
The next morning was special. One of our guests was celebrating her birthday — and we had something unforgettable planned. We found a secluded beach, completely private, just for them. Chef Arno prepared a stunning snack board loaded with cheeses, cured meats, fresh accompaniments — a proper luxury spread. We ferried everything from Lyra to the beach by tender, setting it all up for her before she arrived. Her reaction? Pure joy. An entire beach. Just for them. That evening, another breathtaking dinner onboard closed out the day — candles glowing, glasses clinking, the kind of night that feels suspended in time.
More Celebrations & Super Bowl Under the Stars
As if one birthday wasn’t enough, we celebrated another the following day. The guests headed to Foxy’s for an evening of island character, music, and that unmistakable JVD spirit. Back onboard, we transformed Lyra once again — pulling out the projector to watch the Super Bowl under the Caribbean night sky. Floating in warm waters, anchored off paradise, watching the big game on deck — not your average viewing party.
Pirates, Norman Island & The Willy T
The next morning, after breakfast, we sailed to Norman Island and anchored right in front of Pirates Bight — practically on the beach. From there, it was time for the floating pirate legend itself: Willy T. The tender runs were full of anticipation, and the energy didn’t disappoint. Classic BVI. Loud, fun, unapologetically memorable.
Full Circle Back to West End
All too soon, the week came full circle as we returned to West End. What started as ten guests boarding a luxury catamaran turned into something more — shared stories, birthday surprises, beach setups, sunset dinners, bar-hopping adventures, and nights under Caribbean stars. This charter wasn’t about one highlight.
It was about the rhythm of the islands — moving effortlessly between barefoot beach bars and five-star dining, wild afternoons and elegant evenings. That’s the magic of doing the BVI by boat. And aboard Lyra, we do it right.
