30 December – Matching Shirts & Big Energy On the 30th of December , the Jeppson family arrived from St. Thomas via private boat , buzzing with excitement to begin their BVI adventure. And they did not arrive quietly… everyone stepped onboard in matching white T-shirts featuring AI avatars of themselves, complete with their names printed underneath—so there was absolutely no confusion about who was who. Genius. Iconic. Immediately set the tone. After the safety briefing, lines were cast off and we set sail for Guana Bay , our first overnight stop. It didn’t take long before the Seabobs hit the water , and suddenly the charter was in full swing—everyone out in the ocean, laughing, exploring, and living their best life. The highlight of the day? Cal’s unforgettable snorkeling style , which had the entire crew in tears from laughing. Truly one for the books.

Snorkels, Bays & New Year’s Eve Magic

The next morning after breakfast, we cruised over to Marina Cay for more snorkeling, followed by lunch onboard. From there, we continued on to North Sound , where we would spend the night and ring in the New Year. As midnight approached, everyone gathered together on deck. At 00:00 , we welcomed the New Year as a crew and family, watching fireworks light up the sky over the water—such a special moment to share at sea, and the perfect way to begin 2026.

Workouts, Exploring & Picture-Perfect Beaches

True to form, Steve and Sydnee were up early the next morning for their daily workout before we cruised to Leverick Bay for breakfast. Afterward, the group headed ashore to explore and soak up some local island life. Next stop: Savannah Bay —a beach so stunning it honestly left everyone speechless. After lunch, the water called again, and the afternoon was spent swimming, floating, and enjoying the peaceful calm that only the BVI can deliver.

The Baths & A Night Under the Stars

Later that day, we cruised over to The Baths . Everyone went ashore to explore the famous rock formations and winding paths, and once they returned to the boat, it was impossible to stop talking about how incredible the experience had been. That evening, we made our way to Trunk Bay , anchoring for the night under the stars—calm water, warm air, and the perfect end to the day.

A Proposal to Remember 💍

The following morning, we sailed to Cooper Bay … and that’s where the trip took a beautiful turn. Cal decided it was time to upgrade from boyfriend to fiancé , and asked Syndee to be his wife . (Looks like someone’s headed to a chapel!) A truly unforgettable moment for everyone onboard—happy tears, shock, and so much excitement all around. After a quick dinner, we set off on a night sail to Salt Island , where we spent the evening anchored and soaking in the magic of the moment.

Wrecks, Beaches & Endless Water Time

The next morning, we rounded the corner to snorkel the famous RMS Rhone —an absolute bucket list spot and a highlight for the group. From there, we cruised to Deadman’s Beach on Peter Island for lunch, followed by a stop at Little Harbour , where the group enjoyed even more snorkeling and Seabob fun around the bay.

E-Foils, The Caves & A Little Drama

An early start the next day took us back to West End , where we picked up an e-foil from our mother boat, Lyra . From there, we headed to Norman Island to snorkel The Caves , enjoy lunch, and explore The Indians . That evening, we anchored closer to The Bight and enjoyed dinner ashore—always a fun vibe and a classic Norman Island stop.

The following morning, we returned to Little Harbour so the kids could make the most of the e-foil and Seabobs… and they did not waste a second. After a quick lunch, they were straight back in the water. As the day went on, the wind shifted, and a nearby boat on our starboard side began drifting toward us. Thanks to Xander’s quick thinking , and the fast teamwork of Sydnee, Steve, and Brooke , fenders were deployed just in time. Pieter arrived with the dinghy and safely moved the other boat away. Most importantly… no boats were harmed in the process. 😅👏

Farewell to the BVI

We then made our way back to West End , where we spent our final night in the British Virgin Islands. The next morning, we cruised over to St. John to clear in , and after a quick walk around, the family returned to the boat and we continued on to Red Hook , where it was finally time to say goodbye. An unforgettable charter filled with laughter, adventure, love, and memories that will last a lifetime —the perfect way to ring in the New Year with the Jeppson family.
