We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming a world competing Ironman athlete onboard — and not just any Ironman… a two-time World Champion runner-up , joining us with his beautiful family for an unforgettable BVI adventure. We picked them up from Scrub Island , and from the very first moment, we knew we were in for a big week. With 4 adults , their incredible nanny, and five kids , the boat was instantly filled with energy, laughter, and the kind of happy chaos we love. And then there was little Mimi — our youngest guest ever at just one and a half years old … and somehow also the life of the party . Tiny, fearless, and completely stealing everyone’s hearts.

Island Hopping, Ocean Days & Ironman Mode

From Scrub, we set off exploring the best of the British Virgin Islands , making sure we always anchored in spots that allowed our Ironman to keep up his training for his next championship — because the grind doesn’t stop, even on charter! There was a lot of running , a lot of exercising , and a whole lot of “well-earned” recovery time… which usually looked like many, many desserts afterwards . Balance is important. 😄 From the beauty and calm of North Sound , to the laid-back vibes of Jost Van Dyke , and the adventure of Norman Island , this charter had the perfect mix of fitness, family fun, and pure island living.

Seabobs, E-Foils & Movie Nights

If the guests weren’t in the water Seabobbing or e-foiling , chances were there was a movie playing almost every night on the projector — the ultimate wind-down after busy days in the sun. It was one of those charters where the days fly by because everyone is constantly doing something, laughing at something, or jumping back into the water “just one more time.”

The Not-So-Fun Bits (But Still Iconic)

Of course, no real charter is complete without a few battle scars… We had a couple of jellyfish stings , and a toe that got cut open (because the ocean always finds a way to humble us), but everyone handled it like champs. And then… the cherry on top: the discovery that the tooth mouse apparently lives onboard . Yes — the magic is real. And yes — the kids were thrilled .

A First for Them… and for Us

This was the family’s very first charter , and it also brought a lot of “firsts” for us as crew too. It’s not every day that guests genuinely feel like family… but this one was different.

The Maggioras were warm, fun, adventurous, and full of love — the kind of guests that leave the boat feeling a little quieter once they’re gone. We absolutely loved having them onboard and cannot wait to see them again
